Who are these funky birds?
Born from city park sessions and rooftop rehearsals, Flowmingos are a high-voltage brass band redefining the sound of NYC. What began as street jams between music school friends has evolved into a genre-blurring force of nature, fusing jazz, R&B, hip-hop, funk and Latin grooves turning into stage into a dance floor.
This Brooklyn-based collective features Joonas Lemetyinen’s explosive trombone, Ian Barnett’s razor-tight drumming, and the sax wizards Manuel Canchola and Alex Silver – each a powerhouse performer in their own right. With deep roots in original music and an electrifying live energy, The Flowmingos turn every stage, sidewalk and festival into a full-blown brass celebration.
Wherever they go, the party follows.
